The Great British Clash: Tyson Fury vs Dillion Whyte
After countless months of back-and-forth negotiations, Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte has been confirmed – does this fight have what it takes to make the history books?
The highly anticipated all-British face off was finalized just hours before the deadline by Whyte leaving fans worried right to the wire over whether the fight would be possible after weeks of speculation.
Fury, who is unbeaten in the last 32 bouts is the favourite to win come April 23rd when he returns to fight in the UK for the first time since 2018.
Whyte, who has 28 wins in his 30-fight career suffering two losses, is the mandatory challenger for the WBC title and the underdog coming into the heavyweight clash.
“Fury is the WBC heavyweight champion and being the biggest figure in British boxing now, I think there's always pressure on him.
“I think with Tyson fury, speaking to him over the years, you must take everything he says with a pinch of salt. He is a master of mind games.
“It depends on whether Dillian White can really step up the level because he has never fought anywhere near this level, I think the fight must deliver if it is going to go down in history.
“As long as fury turns up, in the best shape, I don't see him having much problem.
I think it will depend on what Fury wants to do. If he wants to go out and do what he did to Deontay Wilder. Just put it on him and stop. He will do that.
So, my pick is Fury by either late stoppage or points,” said Chris Mckenna Sports reporter at the daily star.
This fight is set to be a momentous night for British boxing in one of the largest venues in the world, Wembley.
